Humorous – satirical novel ROXA is a story for young adults, who are threatened by the clutches of reality programs, trash and kitsch.
The story paints the surface, and portrays the depth of society, surroundings and the whole region just emerging from transition, through which new measures have been created. A new quasi-elite has been created from the people from the bottom, who used the situation to get rich, and who use that money to conceal the lack of education, culture and manners.
Roxa is a typical example of a woman who climbs from the bottom to the top overnight. Comical scenes the authoress uses to portray her would be funny, if they weren’t tragic though, for the society, the young adults, the future.
The book was published in 2002, and the duodrama “Don Perignon” is based on it.
