A COLLECTION OF MONODRAMAS FOR CHILDREN, by Olivera Olja Jelkić, which have been performed at the most significant Festival of monodrama for children in the region, the Festival of monodrama of Zmajeve dečje igre in Novi Sad, in the period of 20 years. Olivera Olja Jelkić is an awarded writer of modern monodrama for children. She writes about current and very sensitive topics and brings them closer to children. Monodramas were performed by very eminent dramatic artists. Olja herself wrote and composed the music for her monodramas.

There are also three monodramas in this collection, which Olivera Olja Jelkić wrote for herproteges, members of her State of Children „Dekalend“ (Dekalend- Grandfather’s land). They are Gypsy children, from foster families, with no parents. Each of them told their biographic monodrama. These monodramas were really successful and were performed a number of times. In this way, Olivera Olja Jelkić drew public attention to the problems of young Gypsies and other children from the social margin.
